Commode- Generic Heavy Duty

    1. Patient is confined to a single room, or
    2. Patient is confined to one level of the home environment and there is no toilet on that level, or
    3. Patient is confined to the home and there are no toilet facilities in the home.
    4.Patient weighs 300 pounds or more.


IF patient already has a wheelchair or a walker or any mobility device, insurances typically expect that device to be used making patient NOT eligible for a commode.
